Eror code E42 or 5010 requires servicing... But, firt, try these two solutions.
It could be a scanner dysfunction due to shock.
Solution 1:
- Open the right side of the printer (three screws) and release the plastic part.
- Reconnect the cable unplug.
- Reset the plastic part
Solution 2:
- Open the right side of the printer (three screws) and release the plastic part.
- There is a set of cables on the left: check that there is no one that is cut
- If this is the case: strip the cable, connect both ends and surround with electrical tape.
